Salford creatives

Salford creatives is a place to find opportunities, discover talent, access resources, and connect with the people and organisations that make Salford an incredibly vibrant creative city.

Whether you're looking for funding, a studio space, your next collaborator, or just want to know what's happening – this is where you should start.

Salford has always been a city of makers. People who create, build, craft, perform, produce and invent. The Salford creatives brand is rooted in that identity. Our cultural scene is grassroots and global, with everything from eclectic independents to international institutions.

The Big Vision

Together, we're working towards one big vision: that by 2030, Salford will have earned a global reputation as an open city where creativity and social innovation thrive and feed one another.

The vision is underpinned by five delivery pillars:

City of Makers: Work with and promote Salford's creative and cultural industries sector as a national paradigm for creative production, making and selling

Placemaking: Preserve and develop our cultural heritage and build resilience for Salford’s cultural organisations and infrastructure

Animating the City: Foster, showcase and build access to exciting, excellent and enriching arts and cultural provision across the whole city

Destination Salford: Establish Salford as a nationally and internationally acknowledged centre benefitting from rich culture, creativity and heritage

People at the Centre: Maximise opportunities for all Salfordians to make, create and benefit from cultural experiences, careers or business
