Alice Christina-Corrigan

I am a visually impaired creative in Salford. I work as an actor, writer, access consultant & creative access director. I am also the artistic and executive director of LALA Arts.

What connects my work is a commitment to reimagining not just what accessible art can be, but how it's made and who it is led by. Placing disabled people at the centre of both the creative process and the outcome.

No matter what 'hat' I'm wearing, my work focuses on culturally shifting and advancing the technological landscape of creative access in theatre. Pioneering a sustainable workforce for disabled artists across the North West and nationally.

I am passionate about our local community and provide young people access to art engagement and opportunities for their work to be shared publicly. Most notably working with local youth groups and football foundations to create 'Going to The Match' Exhibition at National Football Museum and Local Exchange with Royal Exchange Theatre.

I have toured my first two plays PAST LIFE and FADE across the country supported by Lowry, Leeds Playhouse, Camden People's Theatre, Curve, Extant, Hull Truck and Unity Theatre with my third play 90 + 5 currently in development which has been supported by ThickSkin, Lowry, Royal Exchange and HOME.

With LALA Arts we produce new writing, offers bespoke access training, consulting and creative access direction creating innovative new theatre, all whilst developing the next generation of disabled artists and leaders through our enriched community and artist development.
